The gardens were fine, we walked around admiring everything, it's like a different world. And the breakfast was excellent, like a feast, the bacon was crispy, just how I like it.

A Stay Full of Surprises

The experience had its ups and downs. Enjoyed the local flavor at breakfast despite the limited options. Tinned grapefruit was unique. The staff kept the atmosphere lively. Future guests should familiarize themselves with nearby eateries to enhance their stay.

The location was fine with beautiful gardens and nearby walking trails. We hosted a mini-golf tournament and explored the gardens and wildlife.

I appreciated the helpful staff who assisted with charging my electric motorcycle overnight, and the location just north of Scarborough makes it easy to explore nearby beautiful parks and the fine coastal scenery within a short walk.

A spacious single room offered a comfy bed and a refreshing absence of a TV, promoting relaxation. Breakfast stood out with perfectly crispy bacon, despite the limited choices. The extensive grounds had many facilities, and although my visit was brief, the serene environment hinted at even more good experiences for longer stays.

Breakfast left much to be desired. We arrived at 8:50 to find very limited food remaining, with items like baked beans and fresh juice notably absent. The hard mattresses didn't make for the best sleep, and the carpets were in desperate need of a good clean. While the lounge area had potential, it felt underutilized, and the bar was nothing more than a corner in the breakfast room with some bottles. The décor seemed outdated, and the experience felt a bit lacking in family-friendly amenities.

Cober hill was a great stay! We loved the location, the lil playground was perfect for the kids. The serving staff in the dining room were super polite and attentive. The breakfast was also really good! We enjoyed our family room which was spacious n comfy.

however, the supervisor seemed a bit off and we seemed like the cleaning services could be a bit better.

Cober Hill offers beautiful gardens and peaceful lounges, ideal for unwinding. The warm decor and accessible walking paths made it perfect for seniors like myself.

Increase seating in common areas would be helpful.

The room was in a modern annex, nice compared to the main house. Make sure to ask about lounge access if your room doesn't have a TV.

Perfect spot for nature lovers

Had a blast here! Super clean and cozy place with amazing shower pressure. Breakfast was fab, I filled up on fry ups and endless toast. Sue was a gem, so friendly! The location is a win as there's a fine waterfall nearby. We spotted a seal. Just wish the bar area had more seating.

Great location at the top of the village with nice views. The budget double room had a comfortable bed, private bathroom with a shower, and a wardrobe. Breakfast was self-service with fresh options. Lovely gardens to explore, including mini golf. Friendly staff made it even better. Perfect for a quiet retreat.
